Privacy Policy

Knarrative ("we", "us"), Vienna, VA, operates knarrative.app. This policy covers what we collect and why.

What we collect

Account data. Your email address and a one-way hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.

Content you paste. Resumes and job descriptions you submit for tailoring. These are sent to the AI writing model that produces your package and are stored with your account so you can download your results later. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.

Resume scoring. Scoring requires an account. The resume text you paste - and the job description if you add one for the requirement comparison - is sent to an AI model provider to produce your result. It is not saved to your account or stored in our database, and that processing is subject to the model provider's own data policies. To enforce daily scoring limits we keep a usage record tied to your account that holds no resume content; older daily usage records are removed when scoring is used again. We also keep monthly aggregate usage totals that contain no resume content.

Interview practice. When you practice an interview, your answers, together with the resume and job description from the package you chose, are sent to an AI model provider to write each reply and the final feedback. We do not save the conversation. We keep only technical usage records for each request (your account and package IDs, a hashed IP address, the model used, token counts, cost and time) to run limits and track costs. Per-request records may be kept after the conversation ends. Processing and any retention by the model provider are subject to its own data policies. We do not use your answers to train models.

Optional resume tips by email. When you submit the signup form, we collect the name and email address you provide and your consent choice. If you tick the email-tips box, we use them to send a three-email series. Your resume text is not added to this list. You can unsubscribe through the link in each email or contact info@knarrative.app to stop the emails or request removal from the list.

Usage data. Package balances and generation history, needed to run your account.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not run advertising trackers or use advertising features. We do not share your resume content with anyone except the model provider that generates your package or your interview practice replies, and only for that purpose.

Analytics

We use a third-party analytics service to measure site usage, with analytics cookies set only if you choose "Allow cookies". Before you make a choice, it runs in a cookieless mode: no analytics cookies are set and no advertising features are used, but the analytics provider still receives basic request data such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you viewed. If you choose "Allow cookies", the analytics service sets cookies so we can recognise return visits and match a purchase to a visit. If you choose "Decline cookies", we remove those cookies and stay in cookieless mode. You can change your choice any time with the "Analytics settings" link at the bottom of each page. Resume text, job descriptions, and account details are never sent to the analytics provider.

Third-party processors

AI generation is provided through a third-party AI model provider. Visit analytics is provided by a third-party analytics service. Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor; we never see or store card numbers. The optional tips list is stored and sent through a third-party email service.

Your choices

Email info@knarrative.app to export or delete your account and all associated content. Deletion removes your resumes, generations, and account within 30 days.
